UGC-NET is an eligibility exam conducted for Research Fellowships and Assistant Professor. It is organized by National Testing Agency, twice every year(June and December).

- Exam Date : June (3rd - 4thWeek)
- Result : July (1st Week)
Eligibility
- Master's Degree or equivalent from any recognized University.
- Age limit for Junior Research Fellowship is 30.
- There is no age limit for Assistant Professor.
- Percentage eligibility for General Category Students is 55% and for reserved category is 50% in the qualifying exam.
Exam consists of 2 Papers, total of 300 Marks :
- Paper 1 | 50 Questions | 100 Marks
- Paper 2 | 100 Questions | 200 Marks
Marks
- All questions are compulsory to answer.
- Each question is for 2 marks
- There is no negative marking.

- General Category Candidates - Rs. 1000
- General- EWS/ OBC – NCL - Rs. 500
- SC/ STCategory Candidates - Rs. 250
